Tells us about the song you are performing for the Nashville Pop Artist Spotlight. What is it about?
“Where The Wind Blows - God moves mysteriously, and unpredictably, like the wind. We never know when we may be touched by Him…when a brush with His Spirit like a sudden windstorm, may turn our eyes and change our course.””
What first got you into music? How did the journey begin?
“Boys Choir - listening to classical music and of course The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Led Zeplin”
How would you describe the music that you typically create?
“Eclectic Roots Groove. https://eclecticrootsgroove.com/”
What does your music represent?
“Rhythm & Chords - Stories & Questions”
What is your creative process like?
“Music first - then Words - then production. Song is the movie - the production is the movie score”
If you were to open for any 3 artists, who would they be?
“I have aspired to sound like anyone else...but would be honored to ope for Keb Mo, Lyle Lovett; Eric Clapton”
What is the best advice you’ve been given so far in the music industry?
“Mark Rubin - Do not write for others ; never give up ; be sensitive to business;”
What would you be doing right now, if it wasn’t for your music career?
“I have never aspired to sound like anyone else. I have wide eclectic appreciation of so many different genres. Out of context it would be open to Eric Claption, Keb Mo, and Lyle Lovett.”
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
“Seeing something from start to finish and having the means and expertise to realize the full value chain”
In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives such as yourself?
“Enable the financial means/laws/ to sell your music equal to the days of vinyl or any retail store selling their wares, verses having all access given literally for free.”
