Tells us about the song you are performing for the Nashville Pop Artist Spotlight. What is it about?
"Alone Sometimes - is a song that's all about those moments when you feel lonely and just want to be home, even if you're surrounded by people. It's about the habit of checking your phone, hoping for a message, and overthinking things that shouldn't be a big deal. The lyrics are honest and relatable, touching on the feeling of missing someone and wondering if things could be different. It's a track for anyone who's ever felt alone and just needed to know they're not the only one.”
What first got you into music? How did the journey begin?
“I've always sung, but my journey in music really started when I was 13 and got the chance to participate in the Grammy Museum's Music Revolution Project. That's when I wrote my first song, and it fueled my passion for pursuing a career in music.”
How would you describe the music that you typically create?
“The music I create blends the edgy, emotive vibes of alternative rock with catchy, dynamic modern electro-pop elements and melodies.”
What does your music represent?
“My music represents self-expression, emotional honesty, and the journey of life, capturing both personal struggles and triumphs!”
What is your creative process like?
“My creative process often starts with a melody and a few lyrics in my head. I usually bring these ideas to my co-writer, who helps me finish writing the song and producing it.”
If you were to open for any 3 artists, who would they be?
“I would die to open for Julia Michaels, Lorde, and Paramore.”
What is the best advice you’ve been given so far in the music industry?
“The best advice I've been given about being in the industry is to be reliable and consistent. Hard work will pay off.”
What would you be doing right now, if it wasn’t for your music career?
“I'd probably be living by the beach, which is where I'm from and where I want to be. But I love the music scene and the people in Nashville, so that's where I am now.”
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
“The most rewarding feeling is inspiring others to be themselves, express themselves, and follow their passions.”
In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives such as yourself?
“Let the artist know you care – it's such a hard industry, and artists can get down on themselves. When people watching take action to show up and comment, it makes a big difference.”
